USRobotics was the world’s number one modem manufacturer, controlling over 60% of global demand, however, they were a one trick pony – modems. Venturing into the new world of internet video they needed a way to differentiate their product from the slew of other manufacturers and hope that their brand name would carry over. While most manufacturers were touting the benefits of streaming video over the ‘net, we decided, after several ethnographic studies that the benefit from these products was distance communication.
Tying our new product into an email software solution, we quickly captured market share. This banner campaign touted this new benefit and was a One Show finalist. Don’t Just Send an Email… Be an Email.
